This photo is impactful because it shot from low angle which made it seems powerful and high. With the rubbish almost blocking the scenery behind, it shows the undefeatable status of piled rubbish.

The photo has divided into two parts horizontally by a line. Moreover, the reflection of rubbish in the stagnant water has added impact towards the stacked rubbish, which emotionally shows the vital of plastic waste importation issue.

The photo is using the Rule of Third to present. The lady is position in the intersection point of the imaginary horizontal and vertical line. This made the photo seems aesthetically pleasant for audiences’ eyes.

In addition, the colour contrast between the lady’s black cloth and the white plastic wastes is also a highlight for the photo. While the usage of the Triangle Rule gets the audiences’ eyes focus on the lady. The Triangle Rule is formed as the conveyor pass through the photo from the bottom left to upper right.

The photographer shot the photo in a way that the rubbish dumped outside the waste incinerator formed a line. The line will lead viewers to ‘see into’ the photo. Besides that, the fence also contributes to the same effect.

Due to the photographer’s intentionally shot, the rubbish looked a lot. Viewers feel that the rubbish is too much like it almost falls out of the photo.
